PHP/API Developer required for 2/3 week London contract

We are looking for a PHP / API expert to spend two to three weeks developing new code and making existing systems more robust.

This will initially be a contract position but for the right candidate could well develop into something more mature.

About the contract

You will be required to work on a variety of tasks during the period and will need to demonstrate pro The work includes:

• Development of PHP objects using data accessed from the Flickr API’s
• Development of a simple remote backup system
• Development of a small amount of simple Javascript functionality
• Customisation of the Wordpress admin interface
• Development of data access via Google Spreadsheets API (time allowing)

About you

We are looking for someone smart, motivated and with a proven portfolio of work. You need to be pragmatic about languages and understand how to scope a project in a constrained time period.

It is more important to us to complete most of the tasks robustly and maintainably than to complete them all but with only spaghetti to show for it.

You should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of:

• PHP/MySQL
• Linux
• Javascript
• Wordpress (preferable but not essential)
• API usage and remote data caching in PHP
• Python (bonus)
• Berkely DB XML (double bonus)
• Flex 2 experience (icing)
